Dr. Salmela is experienced professional with a broad R&D background in both sea and air domain for 25 years. His major focus has been in data analytics, data fusion, and algorithm development related to a number of active and passive sensor systems as well as C4ISR level systems in the presence of various environmental phenomena, system deficiencies and non-cooperative interference. The recent 5 years he has been working in sea domain and specifically in the fields of underwater surveillance, ASW and mine countermeasures. Petri Salmela joined Patria in March 2019.
