Former Branch Head and Military Assistant at the Italian Military Delegation, NATO HQ

WORK EXPERIENCE
Following the graduation from the Naval Academy in 1987,
has been assigned on board different Naval Units (for more
than 14 years) in different roles (Anti-submarine warfare
Officer, Operations Officer, Principal Warfare Officer,
Executive Officer). Has participated to numerous exercises
and operations (such as the NATO/EU operations Sharp Guard, Active Endeavour and Ocean
Shield).

His command assignments include: Patrol Ship VEGA, Frigate AVIERE and LPD SAN MARCO.
National assignments:
- Italian Naval Staff, Rome (Plans and Policy Staff Officer).
- Italian Joint Staff College, Rome (Teacher and Directing Staff).
- Naval Staff College, Venice (Teacher and Executive Officer).
- Italian Navy Officer Club, Venice (President).
- Centre for Maritime Studies, Venice (Director).


International assignments:
- Comnavsouth Naples, NATO (Maritime Operations Centre Manager).
- JFC Brunssum, NATO (Plans Specialist Section Head and Military Cooperation Team
Leader).
- Italian Military Delegation, NATO HQ Bruxelles (Branch Head Plans, Operations,
Training, Intelligence and Military Assistant on EU issues).

Retired in 2021 with the rank of Rear Admiral. Since then is working at the Joint Intelligence and Security Division at the NATO HQ, as a civilian voluntary national contribution (VNC).
