Laurie is the Director of Products within BAE Systems Maritime & Land Defence Solutions. The Products portfolio includes Autonomous Surface and Subsurface Platforms & Systems, Underwater Weapons, Radars & Sensors, and Simulation & Training.

Laurie joined BAE Systems in 2015 having spent the previous 10 years with Rolls-Royce PLC. His experience is as a Systems and Design engineer within the Civil and Aerospace markets, before moving to the Naval Marine sector.

Laurie lead the delivery of the Radar portfolio, until recently, and also provided leadership on the Type 45 Power Improvement Project from concept phase through to first of class installation.

Laurie gained a first class honours degree (MEng) in Aerospace Engineering prior to becoming chartered with the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Laurie is married with a young family and in his free time likes to run, cycle and enjoys restoring classic cars.
