Seasoned submariner with operational experience on Swiftsure, Trafalgar and Vanguard class submarines. Shore service since 2013 has been focussed on delivering operational support ranging from running the Submarine Operating Authority (CTF311) to serving as the Submarine Element Coordinator for task group operations in a 2* Battlestaff. More recently been responsible for submarine programming and supporting operational transition through new classes of submarines into service. Attended the Advanced Command and Staff College to read for a Masters in International Relations (specialising on Russian Civil Military Relations). Assigned to the Commander SMERAS role in 2022 and expect to remain in post for a further 2 or 3 years (unfinished business to see through!)
