Future French Carrier Program Officer, French Navy

After high school, he enrolled in the Naval Academy in 1998. Graduated in 2001, he was selected as a Naval Aviator. He attended the French Air Force schools in Cognac, then in Salon de Provence.

Selected to integrate the fighter course, he attended the US Navy pilot school in Meridian, Mississippi in 2004. Qualified as Navy fighter pilot in 2005, he was appointed to Navy Fighter Squadron (VMF) 11F then 17F on a modernized Super Etendard, on which he acquired all his tactical qualifications, up to division leader.

He ended his time on Super Etendard as OPSO of 11F, and transitioned in 2010 on Rafale, to be OPSO of the Rafale Squadron in 2011.

In 2012, he joined the Navy Headquarters, as a Rafale program executive officer. Graduated from the French War College in 2014, he rejoined the naval air forces as Executive Officer then Commanding Officer of Rafale Squadron VMF 11F.

On Super Etendard, he participated in operations Agapanthe in 2006 and 2007, Heracles Indian Air in 2008 (Kandahar, Afghanistan). On Rafale from CVN Charles de Gaulle, he took part in operations Harmattan in 2011 (with a time as LNO at the CAOC of Poggio Rénatico) and OIR/Chammal from 2015 to 2017 (3 tours).

Finally, from the Projected Air Base of H5 in Jordan, he participated in a mixed Air/Navy detachment at the end of 2017.

Since September 2018, he has been Rafale (Navy version) Program Officer, Future French Fighter (FCAS : Future Combat Air System, European program) Deputy PEO.

In 2021, he briefly joined the French Joint Staff, and is now back in the Navy Headquarters in 2022 as PEO Future French Carrier (PA-Ng).

CV Alban has recorded 2800 flights hours and 80 combat missions.
