DISSUB ALERTMENT (SALUS)

The tragic events that occurred with submarine ARA San Juan in Argentina and submarine KRI Nanggala in Indonesia pose a stark reminder that is still a risk of accidents and incidents on submarines. Both of these events demonstrate that there is a capability gap with regards to the assured Alertment of a submarine incident and the subsequent localisation of the Distressed Submarine (DISSUB).
